Scope of Responsibilities:
- Oversee facility maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.
- Manage overall facility operations and workspace optimization.
- Inventory management and procurement.
- Ensure workplace safety and security.
- Vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Employee support and orientation.
- Facility performance monitoring and reporting.
- Process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
- Interdepartmental coordination.
Ownership & Accountability:
- Maintaining a safe, functional, and comfortable office environment.
- Optimizing facility operations and resource utilization.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations.
- Delivering cost-effective facility management solutions.
- Building positive relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Providing excellent support to employees.
Authority:
- Making decisions regarding routine facility maintenance and repairs.
- Managing facility budget and resources within approved limits.
- Implementing facility improvement initiatives.
- Resolving facility-related issues and emergencies.
- Coordinating with external vendors and service providers.
Reporting Line:
- Reports directly to the Finance Management.
Requirements and Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar administrative or facilities management role, preferably in a fast-paced, growing organization.
- Proficient in English written and verbal communication, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities.
- Able to demonstrate empathy, professionalism, politeness, and patience in the workplace.
- Problem-solving approach, confidence, and assertiveness to handle complex situations.
- Understanding of work standards and their value, with a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with office equipment, maintenance procedures, and facility management best practices.
- Knowledge of local regulations, vendors, and resources in the Mangalore region.
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in BCom or BBA from a recognized university.
